KEI system joined in SMM2006 (shipbuilding, machinery & marine technology international trade fair) held in Germany Hamburg from September 26th, 2006 to the 29th. I introduce the appearance of SMM2006 that was the second single exhibition for KEI following SeaJapan held in April, 2006.
A huge propeller was set up at the main entrance of the SMM hall, and that attracted a lot of people passing by.
We could see posters of SMM everywhere in Hamburg. We felt Hamburg’s, the world foremost port city, strong eagerness to make the SMM successful from the sights.
SMM2006 set up a new attendance record.
SMM2006 was the 22nd SMM exhibition which was one of the largest-scale exhibitions in the world.
There were 1669 exhibitors from 50 countries, and were 45000 or more visitors. The result became its new attendance record.
The wide hall was full of people who were busy visiting each companies with the latest technology. According to the speech of Jurgen Kennemann, Chairman of the SMM Advisory Board, “the SMM 2006 was more successful than any of the previous events. And a particularly striking feature was that advanced technology in the shipbuilding industry was generating more and more interest among the younger visitors, too.”
KEI System exhibited the data logger and the valve control system
KEI exhibite as a single booth with the cooperation of Japanese Marine Equipment Association (JSMEA),
This is a local box, which was not exhibited at SeaJapan in April, where ILS (I/O modules) were put in.
It was able to hear a number of voices at surprise by the actual box with the light and small size of ILS and the simplified wirings.
Our main exhibits were the Data logger and the Valve control system.
KEI-3240 CPU (main computer), AGU IV; (graphic controller), and the color laser printer and the notebook computers (cable and wireless), etc. were exhibited.
A lot of visitors ardently listened to our explanations
Many people visited our small booth. Among them, there were some people looked for our booth in the huge hall and came at last.
We were grad that we could many visitors. Some of them ardently took pictures of KEI products, and others listened to us attentively taking some notes. We spent meaningful time explaining our systems.
During this large-scale exhibition for 4 days, KEI also had time to visit other booths.
We spent time gathering information of the technology and researching new products.
Exhibiting at SMM2006, KEI has received a lot of good stimulation and we are developing new technology and products for the next exhibition.
